In order to test the functionality of the heart valve design made with Creo Parametric, the design was put through a series of simulations using a different program called MATLAB. MATLAB is also an interactive program the can be used for visualization but, unlike Creo Parametric, it has the ability to simulate different scenarios and measure different aspects of the design. In this case, it was used to measure the pressure that will be placed on the heart valve by blood being pumped through it. This is necessary to measure to ensure that the design can withstand the pressure and still function properly.
