Project Overview

Over the next ten weeks, our design team will attempt to design and prototype an artificial pulmonary valve for the human heart. We will be using Creo Parametrics to design our functioning device. This will allow us to make simulations to see if our device would function properly. Using Creo also allows us to make any modifications to the model's design as necessary throughout the design process. Once we have a functioning model designed in Creo, we will use 3D printing to make a physical prototype of the model out of ABS plastic. Our goal is to demonstrate that the artificial pulmonary valve functions as a biological pulmonary valve would.
